Maluscomas has carved out a space that feels at once timeless and emotionally immediate. His latest track draws you in with startling sincerity, and once you’re in, there’s no looking away. With a voice that lands like a calm storm and arrangements that feel meticulously hand-shaped for maximum emotional resonance, Maluscomas isn’t just making music. He’s building emotional landscapes.

Exploring the complexities of human relationships with profound weightiness and smile-inducing sincerity, ‘Lost In This Feeling’ has a poetic quality that beautifully captures the essence of true love. Lyrically, the track is significant and very tender, but the melody is as emotionally aware. Self-composed and produced, the twinkling piano seems to guide you into that secret garden of romance – then you add pounding drums and dynamic guitars to the melody, offering something deeper, heavier, and more kaleidoscopic.

Musically, ‘Lost In This Feeling’ sits somewhere between the warmth of classic indie-folk and the dreamy edges of psych-rock. The instrumentation is beautifully layered. Shimmering guitar lines float over a steady, understated rhythm, while rich harmonies swirl gently in and out of frame. It’s the kind of sonic palette that allows vulnerability to sit front and centre without becoming overly sentimental.

There’s one specific quality that we appreciate the most in Maluscomas, and it is the ability to balance his advanced guitar skills with heartfelt songwriting and relatable melodies. This showcases Maluscomas’ deep-rooted commitment to storytelling and functional composition, never quite letting himself step into virtuoso territories. ‘Lost in This Feeling’ is the perfect evidence of that, also marking the project’s latest effort.

When an artist doesn’t just play music but paints with sound, the result is something that transcends genre, language, and geography. That’s exactly what Amit Vyas—better known under his moniker Maluscomas—delivers in his latest single, Lost In This Feeling, released on June 7, 2025. Hauntingly beautiful, emotionally honest, and richly textured, this track is not just a song—it’s an immersive feeling, an echo of vulnerability, and a celebration of sound’s power to transport.

Watching an artist shed their skin proves rather touching business. Amit Vyas, the Jodhpur-born guitarist who trades under the moniker Maluscomas, has spent the better part of his recording career thus far wrestling with the considerable shadow of his prog-rock forebears—particularly the looming spectre of Pink Floyd that so thoroughly dominated his 2022 concept album "The Other Side of Peace." On his latest single, "Lost in This Feeling," however, we find him stepping cautiously but decisively into more intimate territory.

Lost In This Feeling’ by Maluscomas is a sentimental piano-led ballad by the singer-songwriter that keeps its audience captive throughout. Its moving, dynamic melodies seem to hold in them optimistic vulnerability, pulling the listener in and allowing them to hold space for the love they feel.

'Lost In This Feeling' blends intimate storytelling with lush guitar textures, the track reflects a deep emotional connection, capturing the essence of love and shared existence. Drawing from his roots in Jodhpur’s folk traditions and years of musical evolution, Maluscomas infuses psych-rock elements and lyrical depth to create an immersive sonic journey.

Maluscomas is a synapse prize, a project by indie musician Amit Vyas. Based out of Pune, he translates his several savants of music and influences into his own. Chiselling his own signature form while tipping his hat to the ones who have inspired him, he actively makes passionate music. His latest album is called Other Side of Peace.

Amit Vyas channels electrifying solos from his trusty guitar as Maluscomas in the album “Other Side of Peace”. His playstyle reminds me of the bravado and tone of David Gilmour and a bit of Petrucci is thrown in there as well for the metal-heavy tracks of the album. There’s a range of emotions present in this nine-piece album, and it delighted me immensely.

This experimental project mixes lyrical guitar psych elements coupled with compelling storytelling to erect a soulful musical reality. Add to this the sweeps of Greg Emond’s evolving vocals and you’ve got yourself a beautiful piece of art; a musical masterpiece!

The album’s closer is perhaps its most realized song; ‘Rebuild’ will take you right back to when guitar instrumental albums were a thing, and it’s full-on nostalgia. It also gets all its ingredients right. There are plenty of memorable moments here.
